Those of you who have a working copy of UOS, and still have the installer of it could you email it to me at bane@thedarktides.com I would like to host it on the forum to see if the issues some people are having with it is some how related to the version of it.

I will check. But currently the working solution that has been suggested is to reboot your PC and immediately open UOS before your computer has fully booted up. This has worked for a few people, and apparently is a lasting solution. Id like to see if it works for others who are having issues.

Another funny thing that was pointed out to me, and has helped on a few occasions....is that having discord open can sometimes cause uosteam to crash

Close discord, open uosteam and get into game then reopen discord

It appears that the best fix for the UoS issues has now been provided! I was reminded of the large address aware program by a friend
This program allows the client to use more 2gb of memory, and it seems to have solved my work computer problem!

Here is a link to where I downloaded it - https://www.moddb.com/downloads/large-address-aware1

Step 1 - find the client file
Step 2 - check box
Step 3 - save

Super easy :)

Here are a couple handy little links for windows users about how to increase your virtual memory and how much which may help with running UOSteam. Also, if you are unaware of how much RAM you have, You can easily hit the windows button and type in DXDIAG.EXE in the search bar and run the file. It will show you a good bit about your computer.

Here is a copy of my UOSteam file. It may or may not work for some of you, but there are also some macros and extra agents in there. Not all the macros work though so be mindful of that when using them. Should just be able to unzip it and run it. I did delete the launcher file in the folder. If it causes any issues let me know and I will put a fresh launcher file (xml doc) up here to put in the folder.

For those like me who tried all the other suggestions and UOS still would not work. Here is another possible solution that DID work for me!

Gil informed that he turned off all his "start on startup" programs and UOS started to work for him. I did the same (although I did not turn off everything i.e virus protection programs) and it seems to work for me as well! I do not need to start UOS immediately on startup. I can open it whenever I want.

Hope this helps!

Game on!!!
